Personnel Section invites all qualified National candidates to apply for the announced position. Accountabilities:   Within the limits of delegated authority, the incumbent is responsible to carry out the following tasks:

• Servicing and maintenance of equipment to ensure good operational condition, including lubrication, greasing, part replacement.
• Regular checks of filtration systems on all equipment
• Train equipment operators on best practices for the safe usage/handling of fuel equipment
• Calibration of flow meters and gauges
• Installation of fuel  equipment and Tanks
• General repair of equipment including system modifications.
• Perform other duties as required.

Work implies frequent interaction with the following:
Staff from Fuel Depot Supervisors, Equipment Operators, Contingent Logistics Officers.

Results Expected:
Equipment in good operating condition, inspection schedule implemented. Operator awareness through training/orientation.


Competencies:

Professionalism – Appreciation of technical (mechanical) skills.
Technological awareness – General knowledge of fuel equipment including meters, pumps storage and distribution facilities.
Communication – Ability to communicate orally in the required languages in a clear and concise manner.
Teamwork – Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.

Qualifications:

Education: A Mechanical Technician Certificate.
Work Experience: At least four (4) years of experience in the servicing/maintenance of equipment.
Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of French is desirable.
